Dinah Zike is proud to introduce the Dinah Zike Academy, an institute for the training of trainers in Comfort, Texas, outside of San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Dinah Zike

• Award-winning author, educator and inventor, known internationally for inventing and designing three-dimensional hands-on manipulatives and graphic organizers known as Foldables^TM.
• Her classroom organization techniques, books and Foldables^TM are used nationally and internationally by teachers, parents, & educational publishers.
• Frequent keynote speaker and continuing education consultant, conducting seminars for over 50,000 teachers and parents annually.
• Current author and consultant for the entire range of K-12 texts published by Glencoe McGraw-Hill and MacMillan McGraw-Hill.
• Author and publisher of books on Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts K-12 through Dinah-Might Adventures.

Trainer of Trainers

Dinah: It has always been my dream to have a location for teachers to immerse themselves in a fully developed, hands-on lab setting that will provide strategies to address diverse learners, meet state and national benchmarks, and build student learning skills for life. I also want to provide the opportunity for teachers to become Dinah Zike Certified trainers for their district, state, or nationwide, because I can't physically reach all the teachers who want to learn more about Foldables^TM and my other teaching strategies.

Immersion

• In three-day, jam-packed DZA sessions at the Academy, Dinah and/or DZA's pro facilitators will engage and immerse you in the power and potential of 3-D interactive graphic organizers, dynamic and efficient classroom organization and effective teaching strategies across age-grade levels and content areas.
• A maximum of 24 participants allows for hands-on individual and small-group work, technology use and direct application to attendees' teaching practices.
• Some sessions are cross-curricular and targeted to either elementary or secondary levels. Others are content specific, including science, math, social studies, and reading/language arts. Request the current schedule of course offerings to find those most suited to you.

Well Equipped

The expansive Academy is well-equipped with high-speed Internet access, computer work stations, working design areas and tools, easily replicable supply stations, displays and publishing centers plus resources including artifacts, a research and reference library, and the list goes on. Who Would Benefit

Teacher-practitioners can become a Dinah Zike Certified campus consultant or district or national trainer via a certification progression involving classroom application plus training at the Academy.

Beautiful, Charming Setting

We're located in the heart of historic and charming village of Comfort, Texas, in the beautiful Texas Hill country, 40 minutes from San Antonio and 1½ hours from Austin. Most convenient airport is San Antonio. Antiquing, shopping, golfing, fishing, bicycling, sightseeing, caving, natural and historic-site adventuring are popular area pursuits. Food and Lodging

Lodging and transportation to and from Comfort are up to the participant. Attendees have their pick of many charming, convenient and historic B&B's as well as a motel in Comfort. Once you are here, most shops, restaurants, B&B's and the Academy are all within short walking distance from each other. While most meals will be included in your tuition, there are many restaurants in Comfort with fare ranging from burgers and salads to cafe/bistro to high-end dining and everything in between.
